Introduction

Erythrulose liquid is a natural ketose sugar, erythrulose is a natural tanning ingredient that provides a truer, more even, and longer-lasting tan. It reacts with the amino group of the skin surface protein peptide through the Maillard reaction to generate a brown polymer product that directly binds to the skin surface (stratum corneum). Compared with 1,3-dihydroxyacetone, erythrulose provides a more natural, truer tan that lasts longer and the formula is more stable. Erythrulose causes a permanent tanning effect that can only be removed by the skin's natural desquamation process.
