Acetyl Tetrapeptide-15 is a new synthetic tetrapeptide. Acetyl tetrapeptide 15 acts on pain receptors (nerve endings) and reduces their activity. In vitro clinical studies have shown that the reduction of relaxation of the neurotransmitter CGRP (calcitonin gene-related peptide) in sensory neurons will reduce the skin sensitivity response. Acetyltetrapeptide-15 has also been proved to be an opioid receptor agonist. Clinical studies in vivo show that this can reduce discomfort and pain caused by external stimuli (heat and capsaicin).
